Carl Gene Delp's Obituary
Carl Gene Delp age 79 of Fancy Gap, Virginia passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Delp was born on May 6, 1938 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to James Sherman and Hattie Coleman Delp. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Lee Delp Mosley; brother and sister-in-law Sherman Roy and Linda Delp; sister-in-law Barbara Edwards and a brother-in-law James Bolt.
He proudly served his country in the US Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Jessie Jane Delp of Fancy Gap, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law James Troy (Smokey) and Shirley Delp of Galax, Virginia; sisters-in-law and spouses Iva Bolt; Mary and Tom Fitzpatrick; Kay and George Slate; Pat and Larry Akers; Nancy and William Deady; Bonnie and Greg Koenig and Victoria Edwards; brothers-in-law and spouse James Steven Mosley; Glenn Edwards; James Edwards; Lewis and Shirley Edwards; eleven nieces and eighteen nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Camp Zion Cemetery with Sammy Burnette officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
