Carl Herbert Caudill age 80 of Fancy Gap, Virginia passed away Thursday June 10, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Caudill was born in Bel Air, Maryland on September 24,1940 to Woodrow Kyle and Georgia Ilene Kilby Caudill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Kay Cox and a brother Charles Caudill.

Mr. Caudill proudly served his country and retired from the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Faye McKenzie Caudill of Fancy Gap, Virginia;  children and spouses Lisa and Ray Patton of Hillsville, Virginia; Angela and Aaron Vass of Woodlawn, Virginia; Carl Caudill II and Melanie of Fries, Virginia; Stephanie and Brandon Wright of Woodlawn, Virginia;  seven grandchildren Leanne Byron; Heather Harless; Arianna Slate; Alyssa Vass; Maiya Caudill; Jack Wright and Lily Wright; five great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law Janet and Lane Marshall; Ouida and Danny Jordan all of Hillsville Virginia;  Cherie and Tommy Stockner of Galax, Virginia; brother-in-law Junior Cox; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Bobby Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery with full Military Honors by the US Air Force. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
