Calvin Lewis Vaughn age 78 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Calvin was born in Carroll County, Virginia on August 8, 1946 to Charlie O'Neal and Iva Jones Vaughn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Pamela Jean Vaughn; sister Darlene Martin and sister-in-law Sue Vaughn.

He proudly served his country and retired from the US Army.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Amy and Johnny Lester of Fries, Virginia; brother Benton Vaughn of Morganton, North Carolina; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 15th  at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.  Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville VFW Post 1115.
