Byrum Gray Melton age 78 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, September 13,2009 at Golden Living Center.
Mr. Melton was born on Sunday, September 13, 1931 in Carroll County, Va. to Eli & Alice Cain Melton.
He is survived by his wife Jo Carico Melton of Galax, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Jeffrey & Sabrena Melton of Fancy Gap, Va.; Jerry & Pam Melton of Galax, Va.; grandchildren Tyler Melton; Eli Melton; Bethany Melton & Tanner Melton; sisters-in-law Irene Bunn; Gladys Melton; Jewel Melton & Nellie Melton; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Dewey Felts and Rev. Michael Senter officiating. Burial will follow in Crooked Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
