Burton Floyd Alley age 67 of Galax, Va. passed away Sunday, February 11, 2007 at his home. He was born in Carroll County, Va. on August 20, 1939 to the late Otto Fred & Lou Zenna Taylor Alley. He is survived by his wife Betty Haga Alley of Galax, Va.; daughter Joyce Alley of Galax, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law David & Mildred Alley of Woodlawn, Va.; Mickey & Melissa Alley of Galax, Va.; step-daughter Kathy Davis of Fairview; step-son & wife Terry & Racheal Davis of Fancy Gap, Va.; sisters & brother-in-law Susie & Bill Melton of Hillsville, Va.; Juanita Shumate & Thelma Hall both of Galax, Va.; brothers & sisters-in-law Freddy & Mary Alley; Jake & Sandra Alley all of Galax, Va.; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday February 14, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Jay Fields & Rudolph Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Fries, Va.. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
