Burl Clyde Combs age 68 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, April 25, 2025.

Burl was born on June 14, 1956 in Virginia to James Woodrow and Beatrice Louise Thomas Combs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Lashmitt.

He is survived by his wife Teresa Higgins Combs of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Jimmy and Millie Combs of Florida; Jerry Combs of Snow Hill, North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Bishops Chapel Church with the Rev. Jimmy Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be no visitation.
