Bula Barr Hawks' Obituary
Bula Barr Hawks age 73 of Galax, Virginia passed Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the home of her sister.
Bula was born in Carroll County, Virginia on May 27, 1944 to Elmer and Fannie Quesinberry Barr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hurley Hawks; sister Gaynell Barr Thompson; brothers Vernie, Jessie, Rudolph, Monie and Reaves Barr; Murphy Quesinberry; and five infant siblings.
She is survived by her sister Margaret Bowman of Ararat, Virginia; sister-in-law Patricia Barr of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; special friend James Walker.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor James Walker and Pastor Jr. Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
