Buddy Reece Carico, "Bud" to his friends, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 1st , 2022.

His gentle disposition and unmistakable smile will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

As a real estate broker for most of his professional career, he conducted himself with integrity and honesty.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather who remained steadfastly vigilant in all of our lives. There was never a favor he turned down or a responsibility he gave up on.

He believed the image you projected was the person you were. Always dressed for success.  He was a mentor, guiding light and a hero.

Bud is survived by his wife Mary Gaynell Littreal Carico; two sons Mark and Steve; two grandchildren Crystal and Madeline.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 12 noon in the Heritage Funeral Home, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, North Carolina. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until time for the service at the Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn East Cemetery.

He will be sorely missed.
