Elder Robert Bruce Higgins, age 97, of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday August 9, 2023 in his home.

Mr. Higgins was born in Grayson County, Virginia on June 16, 1926 to Jessie Edgar and Fannie King Higgins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in wife by his wife Dorothy Smith Higgins.

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Garry Worrell of Woodlawn; sons and daughter-in-law Gary and Gwen Higgins of Galax and Ronald Bruce Higgins of Woodlawn. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be held on Sunday August 13, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home from 6PM until 8PM. The funeral service will be held Monday August 14, 2023 at 1PM at Crossroads Primitive Baptist Church with Elder James Wyatt and Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery (Cranberry) with Military Rites conducted by Grayson VFW Post 7726.
