Brenda Carol Johnson age 70 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at her home.

Brenda was born Iin Galax, Virginia on June 29, 1953 to William Carson and Mamie Ethel Brannock Lineberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Alma Burch; Wanda Herendez; Donna Jean Lineberry and a brother Thomas Lineberry.

She is survived by her husband Garland Eulis Johnson; sons and daughters-in-law Pete Empkie; Zachary and Melinda Marshall; Garland Jacob and Alexis Johnson all of Woodlawn, Virginia; Terry Lineberry of Galax Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Tammy Empkie of Woodlawn, Virginia; Carol Brannock; Linda Goad; Ashleigh and Johnny Alley; Jessica Manueles all of Galax, Virginia; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Charlie Johnson officiating. At the request of Brenda her body will be cremated after the funeral service. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
