Brenda Boyer Gravley, age 73, of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday November 30, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Brenda was born on November 5, 1949 in Carroll County to Luther Fredrick Boyer and Pauline Williams Boyer.

Brenda was more than just a sewing machine operator who went back to school for cosmetology.  Brenda was a good-hearted woman who was known for always having an infectious smile and a energetic laugh. She was always willing to help out anyone who was in need, with a heart of gold and her giving nature. She will be deeply missed.  She was a beloved wife to Ronnie, loving mother to sons Bryan, Brett and her little dog Clyde.

Brenda is survived by her husband Ronnie Gravley, sons Bryan Gravley, and Brett Gravley all from Fries, Virginia. Her mother Pauline Williams Boyer, Dublin Virginia. Her sister and brother-in-law Robin and Brian Taylor, Clear Fork West Virginia.  Sister-in-laws and Brother-in-laws Phyllis and Eddie King, Wytheville Virginia; Delores and Ralph Boone, Galax, Virginia.  Several nieces and nephews, Special Friends Bonnie and Eddie Bond, Gene Byrd, Michelle and Larry Diamond.

Brenda was preceded in death by father Luther Fredrick Boyer, Grandmother Helen T. Boyer and Grandmother/Grandfather George and Pearl Williams.  Special friends Reid and Lorene Robertson.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2pm in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel in Galax, Virginia with Larry Diamond and Pastor Sam Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery, Fries, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 12 until time for the service.
