Brenda Sue Poe Funk age 81 of Graham, North Carolina passed away Friday, January 16, 2026 in the Alamance Regional Hospital.

Brenda was born on September 29, 1944  in Sparta, North Carolina to Thomas Worth and Willie Hall Poe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Christman Funk.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Tony Christman and Noela Funk of Burlington, North Carolina; John and Michelle Funk of Graham, North Carolina; sister Shelby Jean Padgett of Abingdon, Virginia; five grandchildren Austin Funk; Isaac Funk; Eva Funk; John Thomas Funk; Joshua Gray Funk; two great-grandchildren; one niece.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Jay O'Dell officiating. Burial will follow in the Summerfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
