Brenda Gaye Walls Edwards age 72 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026 in the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Brenda was born in Galax, Virginia on August 13, 1953 to Harve and Rosemond Ruth Hash Walls.

She is survived by  her husband Danny Edwards of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Bridget and Mike Kinzer of Independence, Virginia; Amanda and Joseph Scheffey of Ennice, North Carolina; sons and daughters-in-law Daniel and Crystal of Galax, Virginia; Cody and Olivia Edwards of Woodlawn, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Terry Walls of Marion, North Carolina; Gary and Janie Walls of Woodlawn, Virginia; sister-in-law Sabrena Savage;  fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many special cousins.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Cody Edwards officiating. Burial will  follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
