Bradly Steven Shaffner, age 34, of Galax, VA passed away Tuesday November 16, 2021 in his home.

Bradly was born on March 17, 1987 in Galax, Virginia to Steven Patterson and Janie Ellen Spence Shaffner.

He is survived by his wife Casey Shaffner of Galax, VA; two children Easton and Charleigh Shaffner of Galax, VA; parents Janie and Steve Shaffner of Fries, VA; Brother and sister-in-law Geoffrey and Holly Shaffner of Galax, VA; grandmother Betty Shaffner of Fries, VA; mother-in-law Tammy Hurst of Dublin, VA; father-in-law Charles Petty of Galax, VA; brother-in-law Justin Petty of Dublin, VA; one niece Karsyn Shaffner of Galax, VA; one nephew Grayson Shaffner of Galax, VA. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, and special family from River North Corrections.

Bradly was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Ira Shaffner of Fries, VA and maternal grandparents James and Irene Spence of Fries, VA.

The funeral service will be held Sunday November 21, 2021 at 2:00PM in the Midway Baptist Church with pastor Myron Dalton and rev. Lee Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Atkins Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday November 20, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church.
