Isaac "Bowie" Combs, 86, of Galax, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, September 27, 2020.

Bowie was born April 4, 1934 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Elbert Nathan and Berta May Kegley Combs.

Bowie is survived by his wife Doris Moser Combs, children and their spouses Terry and Linda Combs of Galax; Jeff & Wynn Combs of Fries; Angie and Jack Davis of Galax; grandchildren Crystal Anderson, Joyelle Edmondson and Danielle Liddle; great grandchildren Cole Pickett, Aiden Anderson, Liam Anderson, Kyrie Edmondson  and Norah Edmondson.   Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Dr. Keven Rosenfeld officiating.  Interment will follow in the Camp Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home.

Military rites will be conducted at the gravesite by Grayson VFW Post 7726.
