Bonnie Kathleen Redd Sparks age 79 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Sparks was born in Galax, Virginia on June 21, 1934 to Ottie and Ethel Parrish Redd. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Aundra Sparks and a son Dennis Sparks.

She is survived by her children Tony Sparks and Debra of Richmond, Virginia; Tommy Sparks and Hope of Calabash, North Carolina; Timmy Sparks and Donnie of Roanoke, Virginia; Judy and Lyle Forster of Elk Creek, Virginia; four grandchildren Dakota Lundy, Keith Sparks, April Hord and Jamie Sparks; seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Thursday May 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Brother Frank Huffman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
