Bonnie Louise Asbury age 81 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday May 18, 2021 in the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.

Mrs.  Asbury was born in Fries, Virginia on May 29, 1939 to Neal and Maggie Katherine Akers Vaughan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bobby" Asbury; a great grandson James Christian Gravley; two sisters and one brother.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law Robin and Eddie Stanley of Fries, Virginia; Vickie and Tim Taylor of Ivanhoe, Virginia; Star and Mike Forbes of Roanoke, Virginia;son and daughter-in-law Robert and Kathy Asbury of Independence, Virginia;  a sister Lois Young of Fries, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Ray and Brenda Vaughan of Roanoke, Virginia; Doug Vaughan of Fries, Virginia; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends Victor and Myra Youngblood and a special young man Eric Holliday.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 3:00 PM in the Stevens Creek Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Stanley officiating.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
