Bobby Joe Wright, Sr. age 77 of Wytheville, VA. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday April, 19th, 2014. He was born in Grayson County to the late Iva Coleman Wright and Blaine Wright on February 18th, 1937. He married the love of his life Sarah Pearman Wright on November 21, 1955.
Bobby worked in the Cotton Mill in Fries, VA.he worked a family sawmill in Byllesby, VA as well as owning and operating his own over the road trucking company. In 1978 he transitioned to Overnite Transportation in Pulaski, VA. as a driver and then as fleet maintenance manager where he worked for 18 years. He then retired and enjoyed the next portion of his life on his farm in Wythe county nearly 20 years. Working the land and caring for his cattle provided him great joy. Bobby also enjoyed going to West End United Methodist Church where he was a member.

Great-Grandchildren Maddi Wright and Cory Wright of Gibsonville, NC
Brother Roger Wright of Haymarket, VA
Sister Peggy Burcham of Galax, VA.
Several nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at West End United Methodist Church in Wytheville with Rev. Rick Lindamood and Rev. Ann Blair officiating. Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at West End United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West End United Methodist Church youth group.
Barnett Funeral Home is serving the Wright family.
