Bobby Ray Wilson age 73 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Wilson was born in Grayson County, Va. on December 2, 1936 to Elmer J. and Gertrude Lundy Wilson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Louise Wilson; brothers and sister-in-law Bill and Catherine Wilson and Terry Wilson.

He is survived by a daughter JoAnna (Jody) Wilson of Fries, Va.; sons and daughters-in-law Gary & Betty Wilson of Independence, Va.; Greg & Barbara Wilson of Fries, Va.; grandchildren and spouses Brent & Krista Wilson; Josh & Kim Wilson; Patrick Wilson & Allison Burchett; and Benjamin Wilson; great-grandchildren Ariel Wilson; Aetheldred Wilson; Emma Wilson and Hannah Wilson; sisters and brothers-in-law Lois & Robert Ramey of Galax, Va.; Carol Bartlett of Burlington, N.C.; Linda & David Morris of Roanoke, Va.; sister-in-law Carlene Jones of Fries, Va.; brother-in-law Bill Smythers of LaPlata Maryland, several nieces and nephews; several special friends; very special friends Junior & Tammy Osborne.

The funeral service will be held Friday, September 17, 2010 at 3:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Bob Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from six until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
