Bobby Ray Melton age 49 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at his home.

Bobby was born on December 12, 1974 in Galax, Virginia to Billy Ray Melton, Sr. and Susan Lynn Alley Melton.

Bobby was an officer for the Carroll County Sheriff's Department and Town of Hillsville for a combined total of twenty years.

He is survived by his children Brynn Lovette Melton; Bryleigh Lynn Melton and Bryce Andrew Melton all of Galax, Virginia; his father Billy Ray Melton, Sr. of Hillsville, Virginia; sisters Jennifer Melton and  Amanda Whittington both of Galax, Virginia; brother Billy Ray Melton, Jr. of Ennice, North Carolina; two grandchildren Kynsli Lovette Cole and Kendyl Joan Cole; several nieces and nephews..

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 10th  at 4:00 PM in the Vaughan Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Dina Clower officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 3:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
