Bobby Lafayette Hawks age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Hawks was born on September 13, 1937 in Galax, Virginia to William Lee and Arinda Jacobs Hawks.

He is survived by his children and spouses Brenda Paul and Buddy Young of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Donnie and Janet Hawks of Galax, Virginia; Melinda Hawks of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Amanda Abdalla of Lenoir, North Carolina; Barbara and William Mabe of North Carolina; Sarah Hawks Crigger of Fries, Virginia;Tambra Paredes of Mt. Airy, North Carolina;  grandchildren and spouses Natalie Paul; Kaylie Paul; Anthony Paul; Ethan Hawks; Portia Shaffer(Ronnie); Holly Crigger; Matthew Hawks; Landon Ryan Hawks; Jacob Robinson; Isaac Mabe; Alexis Olmos-Martinez (Javier); Brittney Leonard; Michelle Corley; great-grandchildren; Flora Hawks; Adalina Olmos-Martinez; Alondra Olmos-Martinez; Calihan Olmos-Martinez; sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Mitch Simmons of Rock Hill, South Carolina; significant other Melba Hawks and caregivers Zee Funk and Teresa Felts.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the Galax City Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
