Bobbie Leigh Poe, age 73, of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday August 29, 2025 at Woltz Hospice House.

Bobbie was born on February 1, 1952 in Radford, Virginia to the late Charles Pete Cochran Sr. and Lavada Bell Mabry Cochran.  She was also preceded in death by her brother Charles Pete Cochran Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years Jerry M. Poe of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Jenny and James Spivey of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Josh and Lynette Poe of Galax, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Connie and Jackie Chafin of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Mike and Kay Cochran of Clemmons, North Carolina; grandchildren Katie and Jeramy Evans, Colton Coomes, and Caleb Coomes; special nephew/niece Shane and Joanie Cochran; as well as a soon to be great grandchild Layton James Evans.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday September 2, 2025 at 2:00PM in the Crossroads Primitive Baptist Church with Elder James Wyatt and Elder Ken Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at the Crab Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00PM until the time of service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Crossroads Primitive Baptist Church.
