Blanche Evelyn Leedy Edwards age 101 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Mrs. Edwards was born in Carroll County, Virginia on November 20, 1918 to Ribble and Susie Ryder Leedy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Grady Edwards, a daughter Barbara Sue Edwards and a son Thomas Dale Edwards.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Nelson D. And Marie Edwards of Sanford, North Carolina; Gerald D. and Louise Edwards of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 PM at Bishops Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 noon until time for the service at Bishops Chapel United Methodist Church.
