Blanche Ethel Dean age 94 of Fries, Va. passed away Monday, August 24, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Dean was born on March 15, 1915 in Alleghany County, N.C. to Shady Mack & Flora Taylor Caudill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Gilmer Dean and an infant son Charles Randolph Dean.
She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Dawn & Truman Parks of Galax, Va.; Sandy & Ralph Anders of Blue Ridge, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Roger & Karen Dean of Wake Forest, N.C.; Danny & Joy Dean of Hillsville, Va.; grandchildren & spouses Cher Dean; Phillip Dean; Ronnie Dean; Tony & Kelly Parks; Pam & Stan Atkinson; Scott & Melissa Anders.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 11:00 am in Stevens Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 at Stevens Creek United Methodist Church.
