Billy Harold Redd age 77 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.

Mr. Redd was born in Grayson County, Virginia on April 11, 1936 to James Harvey and Effie Grace Nobblett Redd.

He is survived by his wife Eula Mae Redd of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Judy and Raven Buckingham of Jonesboro, Tennessee; Penny and Jason Criner of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Steve and Regina Redd of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Brandon and Jessie Wallace; Dereck and Caitlyn Criner; Sarah and Dewey Evans; Seth Criner; great-grandchild Blake Wallace; step-grandchild Kadance Evans; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Dereck Criner, Rev. James Cowley and Rev. Russ Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vale Cemetery. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Galax Oldtown Lodge #68. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Mt. Vale United Methodist Church; Hillcrest Baptist Church or Saddle Mountain Baptist Church.
