Billy Wayne Lundy age 81 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Sunday February 5, 2023 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Bill was born in Carroll County, Virginia on July 8, 1941 to Arthur Reece and Thelma Grace McCoy Lundy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Lundy and his son Jeff Lundy.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ruth Combs Lundy of Woodlawn, Virginia; son and special friend Ricky Lundy and Marie Hodge of Woodlawn, Virignia; son and daughter-in-law Brent and Angela Lundy of Galax, Virginia;  sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Jim Spicer of Hillsville, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Cecil Lundy of Woodlawn, Virginia;  David and Carolyn Lundy of High Point, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church on Carrollton Pike with the Rev. Terri Gregory and Pastor Myron Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Russell Branscome, 36 Quail Ridge Court, Galax, Virginia 24333.
