Billy Frederick Johnson, Sr. age 71 of Woodlawn, Va. passed away Monday, January 21, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Johnson was born in Pulaski, Va. on October 16, 1936 to John William & Lila Farris Johnson. He is survived by his wife Lillie Johnson of Woodlawn, Va.; daughter & son-in-law Nancy Ann & Doug Bowers of Max Meadows, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Ricky Allen & Donna Johnson; Billy & Teresa Johnson all of Woodlawn, Va.; John William & Theresa Johnson of Galax, Va.; sister Mayola Yates of Pineville, Louisiana; sisters-in-law Mary Johnson of Pineville, Louisiana and Velma Johnson of Wytheville, Va.; Mary Delp; brothers-in-law & wife Gilmer & Lessie Spencer; Daniel Spencer; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Robert McLean officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery with Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
