Billy Franklin Carico age 70 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in Abingdon Manor in Abingdon, Virginia.

Mr. Carico was born in Grayson County, Va. on January 26, 1939 to Glenn F. & Thelma Sutherland Carico. In addition to his mother of King, North Carolina he is survived by his son Franklin Carico of Denver, Colorado; sisters & brothers-in-law Marie & Guy Russell of Galax, Va.; Brenda & Banner Haynes; Charlotte & Guy Cloud all of King, N.C.; brothers & sisters-in-law Bud & Gaynell Carico of Charlotte, N.C.; John Carico; Jack & Judy Carico; Allen & Judy Carico all of King, N.C.; two grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Locust Grove Church of Christ with Guy Russell and Marvin Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Patton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Locust Grove Church of Christ.
