Billy Alfred Cox age 75 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday March 9, 2022 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Bill was born on February 28, 1947 in Carroll County Virginia to Charlie and Lucille Adams Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lucy Cox and brother Mike Cox.

He is survived by a son Billy Cox; daughter Sheila Wilson both of Galax Virginia; sisters Joyce Owens of Roanoke, Virginia; Brenda Stewart of Apex, North Carolina; three grandchildren Lou Shenee (Shane) Turman; Bethany Wilson and Caleb Cox ; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM in the River Hill Christian Church with Eddie Easter, Pastor Bill Spurlin and Darin Kinzer officiating. Burial will follow in the River Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until time for the service at the River Hill Christian Church.
