Billy Wayne Bourne age 70 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 at his home.

Billy was born on June 17, 1953 in Grayson County, Virginia to Billie Towe and Melba Trimble Bourne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Ann Patton Bourne; sister Juanita Wright and brother Gayle Bourne.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jason and Christy Bourne; daughter and son-in-law Billie and Paul Sexton all of Independence, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Martha and Phillip Hall; Patsy Graham; Becky and Alfred Williams all of Galax, Virginia; Shirley and Freddie Dixon of Fries, Virginia; Sue and Craig Hill; Lisa Esquivel all of Thomasville, North Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law Dave and Doris Bourne; Danny and Shelia Bourne; Ronnie and Julie Bourne all  of Galax, Virginia; four grandchildren Alayna Sexton; Brandon Sexton; Jacob Bourne and Kassidy Bourne;  loving niece Angel Dixon; several nieces and nephews; special friend Scott Brown.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 6:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Darrell Melton and Alan Graham officiating. Burial will be held on Friday in the Summerfield Cemetery at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
