Billy James Aldred's Obituary
Billy James Aldred born in Galax, Virginia in 1935, died September 30, 2015 in Chester, Virginia, after a short intense battle of a recurrence of cancer. He was a retired Veteran of 22 years in the Armed Forces. He proudly served in the Air Force and Army as a helicopter pilot with tours in Libya, Korea and Vietnam. His parents were Clarence and Marie Aldred of Galax.
Bill leaves his wife of 58 years, Diane Aldred, their 4 children, Randal Aldred, Melissa Patton, Stacey Aldred and Mari Linda Cottrell, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and extended family members.
A graveside service and burial will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Randal Aldred and Stacey Aldred officiating. Military rites will be conducted at the gravesite by the Grayson VFW Post 7726.
