Billie Poole Smith age 76 of Ennice, North Carolina passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Smith was born in Alleghany County, North Carolina on January 28, 1942 to Willie Lee and Blanche Goodman Poole.

She is survived by her husband Roger Smith of Ennice, North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Michael Schaeffer of Galax, Virginia; one grandson Ian Schaeffer; sisters and brothers-in-law Joyce and Harold Moxley  of Columbia, South Carolina; Kaye Youmans of Lexington, South Carolina; Kathy and Lanny Hodge of Thurmond, North Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law Larry and Linda Poole; Gary and Beverly Poole all of Sparta, North Carolina; sister-in-law Eva Jean Duncan of Greensboro, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; special friend and cousin Lucy Royall.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the New Haven Church of the Brethren with Brother Ed Hall and Roy Houser officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the church.

While flowers are appreciated, the family suggests sending memorial contributions to Medi Home Hospice in Sparta, North Carolina.
