Billie Joe Roberts age 56 of Independence, Virginia passed away Thursday August 12, 2021 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Billie was born on March 4, 1965 in North Carolina to Claude and Katherine Maude Bourne Roberts.

He is survived by his wife Kim Hoffman; daughters and sons-in-law Amanda and Ronnie Mullins of Lafayette, Indiana; Nikki and Chris Clinger of Cookeville, Tennessee; Ashley Roberts of Fries, Virginia; Chasity Roberts of Independence, Virginia; Rachel Roberts of Fries, Virginia; Kira Cook of Radford, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law Brenda and Lenny Wingler of Christiana, Tennessee; Libby Melton of Independence, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Roger and Teresa Roberts of Independence, Virginia; Ted Roberts of Florida; fifteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hackler Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
