Billie Burke Brown age 82 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Mrs. Brown was born on December 1, 1930 in Galax, Virginia to Walter and Bertha Ruby Bedsaul Sexton.
She is survived by her husband Howard Cecil Brown of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Norma Jean Brown of Graham, North Carolina; Dennis and Sabrina Brown of Chesapeake, Virginia; Todd and Renee Brown of Galax, Virginia; sisters Jewell Bottomley of Galax, Virginia; Barbara Palmer of Virginia Beach, Virginia; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
