Bill Conley Morton, Sr. age 77 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr.Morton was born in Galax, Virginia on May 11, 1939 to Harmon and Georgie Virginia Hudson Morton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Etiole Amburn Morton.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Bill (Zeke) and Erin Morton, Jr. of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouse Britt Conley and Megan Morton; Bekah Morton; Lauren Morton; great-grandchildren Zandon McCrary; Willow Morton; sister-in-law Jewell Melton of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; special friend Pauline Kroll.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 12:30 PM in the Felts Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Gregory and the Rev. Myron Dalton officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
