Beulah Parks Russell, age 88, of Woodlawn passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at her home. Beulah was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 12, 1926 to the late C. Elmer and Blanche Haynes Russell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Howard G., Dewey Lee, Kenneth and Eldon Russell.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ed and Jennie Parks of Mount Airy, NC ; brother and sister-in-law: Charles And Ruby Russell of Galax, Virginia; one grandson Matthew Parks and his wife LeAnn Parks and five great grandchildren: Katie, Jacob, Timothy, Hannah, and Jenna all of Mount Airy, NC. She is also survived by special family members: niece Carolyn Russell and great-nephew Jared Russell of Woodlawn, Virginia; nine nephews and four nieces.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Midway Heights Community Church, 2617 Cranberry Road, Woodlawn, VA at 4:00 PM with Pastor Max Combs and Brother Matthew Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladeville United Methodist Church Cemetery, 103 Cranberry Road, Galax, VA. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 PM until service time at the church.
