Beulah Irene Burns' Obituary
Beulah Irene Burns, age 96, died Friday, July 4, 2014 at the Waddell Nursing Home, Galax, VA.
Mrs. Burns was born March 2, 1918 in Grayson County, VA to Roby Franklin and Mary Susie Bobbitt Dillon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Harrison Burns.
She is survived by her nephew and wife, Bill and Gaynelle Dillon. They watched over and took care of her for many years while she resided at the Waddell Nursing Home.
Her sister Kathleen Carter and niece Sheila Carter of Norfolk VA.
Her daughter Mary Ann Schultz of Bedford TX, the children she raised Michael Sutt of Baltimore MD and Logan Sutt of Syracuse NY.
Her Granddaughter Ursula Byrd of Bedford TX.
And her Great Grandchildren Johnathan and Jacquelyn Sutt and Zane Suttmore; several nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to thank the staff at the Waddell Nursing Home for their years of service.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel, Galax, VA. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 8, 2014.
