Betty Jean Wright Davis age 77 of Fries, Va. passed away Monday, August 13, 2007 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Davis was born on December 13, 1929 in Cleveland County, North Carolina to the late Charles Dyer & Myrtle Millwood Wright. She is survived by her husband James "Buck" Davis; daughter & son-in-law Monica & Bill Moore all of Fries, Va.; sisters & brother-in-law Barbara & David Harmon of Fries, Va.; Lois Jennings of Collinsville, Va.; brothers & sisters-in-law Bud & Frances Wright of Galax, Va.; Maurice & Patsy Wright of Fries, Va.; sister-in-law Elsie Davis of Galax, Va.; brother-in-law James Hamm of Fries, Va.; brothers-in-law and their spouse Raymond & Joyce Davis of Fries, Va.; Olin & Alveta Davis of Roanoke, Va.; two grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Bill Linkous and Doug Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from seven until nine at the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church.
