Betty Jean Sutphin Edwards age 86 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in the Hillsville Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Edwards was born on February 2, 1932 in Carroll County, Virginia to Charlie I. and Goldie Lillian Quesenberry Sutphin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Victor Sutphin.

She is survived by her husband Guy O. Edwards of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter Peggy Neece of Wytheville, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Darlene Edwards of Christiansburg, Virginia; Steve and Loretta Edwards of Woodlawn, Virginia; six grandchildren Seth Edwards, Carrie Edwards, Stephen Edwards, Jeannie McMickle, Selena Lineberry; Edwin Leonard; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Woodlawn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dina Clower and the Rev. Gloria Lancaster Rhudy officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Woodlawn United Methodist Church.
