Betty Jo Coe Smith age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday August 18, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Smith was born in Galax, Virginia on September 11, 1938 to Lee Roy and Hattie Verna Patton Coe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billie Joseph Smith.

She is survived by her children Lee Smith and Maurice Woodie of Laurel Springs, North Carolina; Deborah Wilmouth and Howard of Galax, Virginia;  Tabitha Isom and Michael Hodge of Fries, Virginia; Rhyan Lee Isom; Chase Mallachi Smith  both of Galax, Virginia; four grandchildren Misty Funk; Sirena Rector; Indian Huffman; Bradley (Brenna) Sexton; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 12:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time for the graveside service at the Monta Vista Cemetery.
