Betty Lucille Rippey, age 92, of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday June 11, 2018 in Waddell Nursing Home. Mrs. Rippey was born February 6, 1926 in Galax, Virginia to the late Charles Summer Dotson and Barry Ann Cox Dotson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rufus Rippey.

She is survived by brother and sister-in-law: Charlie and Geraldine Rippey of Galax, Virginia; sisters-in-law Vera Combs of Fancy Gap, Virginia; Lura McCraw of Galax, Virginia; Virginia Combs of Lexington, North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 2:30 pm in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Garry Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until service time at the funeral home.
