Betty Jane Richardson "Janie" age 57 of Austinville, Va. passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 at her home. Janie was born on April 15, 1950 in Carroll County, Va. to Nevia & Alma Goad Newman. In addition to her father she is survived by a son & daughter-in-law Jeff & Hilary Richardson of Flowermound, Texas; husband Freddie Fender of the home; sisters Dana Jackson & Jessie Harmon both of Galax, Va.; Barbara Spears of Ennice, N.C.; Kay Overstreet of Hillsville, Va.; three grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 24, 2007 at 4:30 PM in Monta Vista Cemetery with Pastor Garry Adams officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from two until four at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
