Betty Mae Easter of Galax, VA died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 in the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax,
VA.
Mrs. Easter was born Dec. 2, 1937 in Carroll County, VA to Alvin and Hopie Alley Nester. Her parents and one brother, Arvin Nester preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband, Darrell Perry Easter of the home and daughter, Rebecca Easter Gammon, Galax; son, Gary Darrell Easter, Galax; sister, Ida Diona Eastridge, Austinville, VA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Stevie & Linda Nester, Austinville, VA, Arnie & Lorene Nester, Hillsville, VA, Elmo & June Nester, Hillsville, Arlie & Pru Nester, High Point, NC, Virgil Leonard Nester, Austinville, VA, Olen Gaylene Nester, Hillsville, VA.
The funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 7, 2011 in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA with burial to follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the Cranberry section. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Camet Spivey.
