Betty Jo Hawks Lundy age 78 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday December 20, 2020 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Betty was born in Galax, Virginia on January 27, 1942 to William and Arinda Jacobs Hawks.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Pamela and Terry Fortner of Galax, Virginia; Debbie and Cecil Saunders of Roanoke, Virginia; two sons and daughter-in-law Jay and Lori Martin of Salem, Virginia; Greg Martin of Troutville, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Mitch Simmons of Lancaster, South Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law Bobby and Melba Hawks of Galax, Virginia; Paul and Angie Hawks of Tucson, Arizona; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; special grandson and wife T.J. and Courtney Fortner of Galax, Virginia; several special neighbors.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Galax City Cemetery with Pastor Carles Arnold officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Mask and social distancing will be required at the graveside service.
