Betty Joy Gardner's Obituary
Betty Joy Gardner, age 79, of Woodlawn, VA died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Golden Living Center, Galax, VA.
Mrs. Gardner was born Aug. 6, 1934 in Carroll County, VA to Boyd and Jettie Mooney Ayers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Gardner and son, Ralph Edward Gardner.
She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Gardner Felts, Galax, VA; son Richard James Gardner, Woodlawn, VA; sister & brother-in-law, Frances & Joe Higgins, Galax, VA; brother & sister-in-law Roy & Eskie Ayers, Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Travis Lee Bunn, James Dexter Felts, Tyler McCoy Felts, James Jacob Gardner; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will reeive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax, VA. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Robert Adams.
