Betty Jo Leonard's Obituary
Betty Jo Leonard age 74 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 in the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. Mrs. Leonard was born in Grayson County, Virginia on September 15, 1936 to Eck C. and Gertrude Fortner Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Tammy Leonard; son Richard Leonard and a sister Ethel Smith Chrisley.
She is survived by her husband David O. Leonard of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Katrina and Patrick Holbrook of Collinsville, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Jack and Leslie Leonard of Fries, Virginia.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. David Moore and Rev. Rodney Christman officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from six until time for the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital
