Betty "Janie" Jane Hanks' Obituary
Betty Jane Hanks better known as Janie Hanks age 62 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.
Janie was born in Carroll County, Virginia on January 23, 1954 to Robert and Mavis Tate. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Belford M. Hanks, brother Bobby J. Tate, sister Kathie E. Moore and a sister-in-law Melanie Tate.
She is survived by a sister Shirley Felts of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law James Tate of Hillsville, Virginia; Billy and Paula Tate; Philip Tate all of Fancy Gap, Virginia; Jerry Paul and Sherry Tate of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and her special pet Ginger.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
