Bettie Jane Hill Burcham age 88 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday February 22, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Burcham was born in Carroll County, Virginia on August 19, 1933 to Horace and Elizabeth Anderson Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Lonnie Burcham and sister Doris Ann Hill.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Tammy and Larry Lawson; Teresa and Jassen Jones all of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Tony and Lana Burcham of Woodlawn, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law Shirley Reid of Warner Robins, Georgia; Yvonne and David Harris of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Gus and Linda Hill; James Hill all of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren TaNeshia Akers; Trenton Gallimore; Trey Gallimore; Landon Jones; Mitch Melton and Paul Melton; two great-grandchildren Taevyn Akers and Brayleigh Gallimore; several special nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 4:00 PM in the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jeff Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the church.  In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Fries Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 9, Fries, Virginia 24330.
