Mrs. Betty Jo Hendricks, 80,passed away Saturday October 30, 2010 at her home in Fries. She was born November 22, 1929 in Grayson County, Virginia to Elbert Boyd and Dorothy Virginia Patton Carico. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Ray Hendricks, a daughter Ruby Jane Johnson, three sisters Clara Carico, Mariathia Williams, Thelma Sumner; five brothers Dempsy Carico, Lawrence Carico, Kenny Carico, Junior Carico, and Hoke Carico.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law Amy Leigh and Alfred Bond of Fries; Dorothy Rebecca Hampton of Damascus, Virginia; one son George Boyd Hendricks of Silverdale, Washington; one sister Sadie Higgins of Galax; two brothers Dan & Steele Carico both of Fries ; sister and brother-in-law: Lucille & George Hester of Fries; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held Monday,November 1, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Carico Memorial Cemetery with Keith Bond officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
