Betty Grace Gardner's Obituary
Betty Grace Williams Gardner age 82 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 in the New River Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Gardner was born on July 3, 1934 in Carroll County, Virginia to French Carl and Zollie Mae Fortner Williams. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William M. Gardner.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Larry Perry of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Jack Gardner and Jill Greathouse of Raleigh, North Carolina; granddaughter Kesha Annette Phillips of Galax, Virginia; grandson Sean Alexander Gardner of Raleigh, North Carolina; sister Sarah Jocelyn Sharp and her daughter Brenda Sharp both of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; special caregiver Melissa Kreitzer.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Sam Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will be at the home place at 397 Senior Road, Woodlawn, Virginia where friends may call.
